Utility Services

The Office of Utility Services is responsible for all major campus mechanical infrastructure and administers the Energy Savings Performance Program. Mechanical infrastructure is below ground, inside the Central Energy Facility, and within many larger campus buildings.

Steam and chilled water for heating and cooling for some campus buildings is fed to and monitored by the Central Energy Facility. Skilled operators are onsite 24 hours per day, 365 days per year to ensure safe and efficient operations. Other buildings have stand-alone systems, also under the purview of Utility Services.
