Architecture and Engineering
Overview
All construction and renovation projects at the College are managed by the Office of Architecture and Engineering, a team of engineers, architects, and construction project managers with expertise in design, planning, construction, preservation, sustainability and most importantly, problem solving. Our mission is to help create and enhance campus learning and living environments. All professional services are procured in accordance with the South Carolina State Procurement Code for Design and Construction. Requests for professional services are open to the public and are posted at SCBO (South Carolina Business Opportunities). Please refer all procurement process questions to the Office of the State Engineer. All applicable new construction and exterior renovations are designed in accordance with City of Charleston Board of Architectural Review (BAR) guidelines.
Project Initiation
If you have a project you wish to initiate, we are happy to help you through the process. The first step is to submit a Work Order Request. We will contact you once the request has been received.
Please note all summer work project requests MUST be received by December 1. This allows for ample time to plan, design, and procure services.
