Non-Chargeable Services

The following services are customarily not charged to the requestor and are considered routine maintenance. Routine maintenance is considered to be the up keep of facilities due to normal wear and tear. (Work needed to cure misuse or mishandling is not considered routine maintenance and will be chargeable.) All work orders are processed and reviewed individually. To request routine maintenance, please submit a work order request. Examples include:

  • General building repair (roofs, windows, doors, stairs, railings, structural elements, etc.)
  • Maintenance and repair of grounds, sidewalks, fences, hardscaping, and college-owned roadways
  • Maintenance and repair of indoor and outdoor lighting systems (except specialty lighting)
  • Maintenance and repair of heating, cooling, ventilation, dehumidification, energy management, and mechanical systems
  • Maintenance and repair of plumbing pipes, valves, and fixtures
  • Maintenance and repair of electrical panels, receptacles, switches, and fixtures
  • Maintenance and repair of specialty building equipment installed at time of construction or renovation
  • Resolution of warranty issues of craftsmanship or equipment following construction or renovation
  • Inspection, maintenance, and repair of elevators
  • Prevention and eradication of pests and rodents
